AZ Nature Journal Club
The Central Arizona Nature Journal Club is a community of nature lovers and artists who explore and document the natural world through observation, drawing, and writing. With a strong focus on environmental awareness and appreciation, the club was especially inspired by the rich and diverse landscapes of the Southwest. Members chose to highlight some of Arizona’s most unique symbols—the Saguaro Cactus, producer of the Saguaro Blossom (state flower), the Cactus Wren (state bird), and the Two-tailed Swallowtail (state butterfly). The Arizona state flag, with its radiant red and gold rays and copper accents, reflects the bold character of the region—a character the club celebrates through artful reflection, close observation, and a deep respect for the desert environment they call home.
