Rebecca Goodman & Khori Makaena

This piece was inspired by our drives from Las Vegas up to Kyle Canyon and Mount Charleston, capturing the shifting landscapes viewed through the car window. As visual artists, we come from very different backgrounds—Khori’s rooted in graffiti and urban art, and mine in more traditional, including bold Impressionism. Our goal was to merge his urban style in the background with the natural scenery and my expressive brushwork in the foreground.

Medium: Acrylic, wood stain, and spray varnish on five 8” x 9” hexagonal wood panels.
