Grace Bell

I’ve always loved driving by the swans on the river near my house, looking so graceful and at peace. I guess this piece is just meant to feel peaceful, A solitary swan, a still river, moonlight, and lillies. Like a mini therapy session on a piece of wood. 

I painted this piece because I’ve known a lot of people who have had family that has died recently, and death really is scary. However, I wanted to create a piece that took something as scary and hard as death and showed that it doesn't have to be like that. If you look at death from the right worldview, it’s just the next step in the greatest adventure.
