What do you do with rejected prints? Sometimes, you can use the backside of the print to proof another image, you can draw on them, or you can totally repurpose them! You can cut them apart, collage them onto a hexagonal panel, and participate in the Honeycomb project!

This is what I assigned to students enrolled in Printmaking I and II during the past spring semester. Students were asked to collage components rejects from their B&W linoleum cuts and create one-of-a-kind compositions. By transforming prints that did not turn out as planned, students had the opportunity to explore layering, collage, and mixed media techniques, discovering possibilities that will help them find their artistic voice. - Laura Bentz

Participating Artists: Alijah Bruce, Jack Collins, Bailey Dean, Amber Harvey, DeShaun Merrill, Caleb Nadig, Tyra O’Connor, Kasiah Sayaloune, Jaidyn Warrior, Noah Fields, Angelyse Perez
