“Gratitude in the Rays

​This mixed media collage is my love letter to the sun—a radiant force that seems to heal, uplift, and inspire. Each ray extending from the sun holds a motivational phrase, representing the many ways sunshine touches our lives and encourages us to step into joy, movement, and connection. Whether it’s the gentle warmth on your skin or the way a sunny day draws people together, there is something undeniably restorative about sunlight.

​For me, this piece captures that fleeting but powerful moment when you pause, close your eyes, and simply feel the sun on your face. It’s a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and be grateful—for nature, for community, and for the everyday beauty we often overlook. “Gratitude in the Rays” is both an invitation and a celebration: to find healing in the light, and to remember that even on life’s harder days, the sun is still shining.
