Anika Schotborgh

 

Mosaic tile was made using carved relief. It depicts a bluejay resting in the middle of the Nevada Desert. I chose this theme because I have always been drawn to the aesthetic qualities of nature and desert blended together. I have lived here all my life and I wanted to show how much means Nevada to me.
