This painting shows surfboarders from above, floating and waiting in the ocean. I used watercolor to capture the soft, flowing nature of the water, and acrylic to add stronger shapes and details to the surfers and their boards. The bird’s-eye view creates a calm, almost abstract feeling. From this angle, the ocean becomes a pattern, and the surfers look small but connected, like part of a larger rhythm. I wanted to show the peaceful moment before the wave comes—the quiet, the space, and the beauty of being still in something so big.
