Nature and the outdoors are very important to me and for this reason, I wanted to create an art piece that represents multiple aspects of nature and how it can be enjoyed. At the same time, I wanted to show how art is often a reflection of the beauty of nature and this helped me come up with the design for the sun. The nature on our planet is so multifaceted and can be expressed in various different ways. Ultimately, this piece is meant to be an appreciation of beauty and the many forms it can come in. This work is especially meaningful in our area because Tahoe contains some of the most beautiful nature in the world. This artwork is almost like a love letter to the Tahoe area. I feel so lucky to live here and be able to witness the beauty of nature every single day and this piece hopefully conveys how much I love it here. I used paint markers in order to create the really vibrant colors that characterize this artwork. I hope that this art piece instills a sense of peace and excitement in viewers and reminds them of how much they enjoy nature.
