Chartreuse Millare

This artwork illustrates the connection between people and nature. I used a honeycomb-shaped canvas to represent a beehive, which connects to the bee in the center of the painting. The bee symbolizes hard work, community, and the importance of even the smallest creatures to the environment. Around the bee, I painted parts of faces, eyes and lips, to show human emotions, how we see the world, and how we communicate. There’s a bright pink and yellow flower in the top left corner that brings energy and life to the painting. The flower and the bee together represent pollination and how all living things rely on each other to survive. I used yellow and gray colors in stripes, similar to a bee’s body. The yellow adds warmth and brightness, while the gray adds a more serious or thoughtful feeling.

I also repeated patterns and textures to make the piece feel layered and a little dreamlike, like a mix of memories or emotions. By blending nature with human features, I wanted to show how closely we are tied to the world around us, even if we don’t always notice it. This piece encourages people to pay attention to the small details in life. It’s a reminder that everything, people, bees, flowers, is connected and that we all have a role to play in taking care of each other and the planet.
