This piece is a fusion of my everyday reality and the playful imagination that’s shaped who I am. The photo of the train tracks by my apartment represents the ordinary, the routine, and sometimes the loneliness of daily life. These tracks have always felt like a symbol of movement—people coming and going, life passing by.

By painting a Mario Kart into this scene, I wanted to bring childhood joy and fantasy into that otherwise static, quiet space. Mario Kart, to me, represents freedom, speed, and fun—it’s a reminder not to take life too seriously, even when things feel stuck or repetitive. Putting something so energetic and nostalgic into a still, real-world setting reflects how I try to carry creativity and humor into the mundane parts of life.

This artwork is important to me because it’s a visual reminder that I can rewrite the narrative of my surroundings. Even if I can’t change the train tracks outside my door, I can change how I see them—and maybe help others do the same.
