When I think of my surroundings, I think of warmth and comfort. My cup of coffee represents that for me. The tradition and ritual that it has become is soothing and welcoming. The cup in my painting was hand made by a great friend, Jeannie Earhart, and represents the people around me that I love. Since "home means Nevada" I have also included a sprig of desert sage which is the state flower, reminding me of the wide, open and untouched environment I call home.
