Within this piece contains the image of the first rose that bloomed on the rosebush outside of my house. To me, this image represents growth of a new era, and signifies the blossoming of Spring. Not only does Spring represent the brith of new things, it also brings in the season of new beginnings and renewal. I also decided to paint the boarder of the honeycomb a neutral brown color to match the brick behind the plant. I also added little accents of gold to symbolize stars, to represent the desire to reach beyond our current mind of thinking.
