What inspired my pieces for The Honeycomb Project was the places and objects I encounter when I go to enjoy nature. I confide in nature as it helps me destress and is the only place I can think properly in. I used the many pictures in my camera roll of places I hike as references to create the landscape sceneries. I used color schemes, shades, and tints to emphasize the emotion and temperature I felt in those settings. I also used stamps and salt to help me create textures. Using the city and my surroundings, my community inspired me to depict the beauty and care put into keeping the streets clean and parks radiant. I appreciate this work and hope to pay it forward by volunteering for community clean-ups.
