The artwork depicts a delicate cocoon suspended at the center of a vibrant background that subtly outlines the form of a butterfly. The cocoon symbolizes potential and transformation, an ode to the quiet yet powerful journey of growth. Its fragile texture contrasts with the bold, radiant butterfly silhouette behind it, signifying a future self full of grace and possibility. The butterfly outline is not a static presence; its layered, mosaic-like design suggests interconnectedness, evoking the idea of community as a support system during transformation. Each fragment of the outline seems to represent a unique individual or shared experience, reminding us that growth often thrives within the nurturing embrace of belonging.
My piece is a barn with a field in front it has corn additives. This piece was made with my 5 year old nephew. I asked him where do you see togetherness? Where does everybody fit in like a puzzle? “A farm! He yelled on a farm all the animals live together and work together the cows make milk and the sheep give fur and the farmer feeds them they are a team” a 5 year old understands we all have a role and we all matter.
